FAQs about Pricing and Booking

  • A 60-minute session is S$100. A 90-minute session is S$150. Every booking includes the room, all equipment, and Cheryl as your in-session studio operator. Payment is online, by card or, in advance.

  • Booking is online through the Studio Analogue Booking page. Choose a date, choose 1 hr, 1.5 hrs, 2 hrs, 2.5 hrs, or 3 hrs, pay online, and you’re confirmed. Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled up to 48 hours before your start time. Cash payment is not accepted. Any session longer than 3 hours, please email hello@studioanalogue.com 

  • Studio Analogue accepts online payments only. You can pay by card. All sessions and add-on services must be paid in advance. Cash payments are not accepted at the studio.

FAQs about Location and Access

  • Studio Analogue is at 79 Kampong Bahru Road, #02-03, Singapore 169377, in a heritage shophouse a >10 minute walk from Outram Park MRT (Exit 5). Cantonment MRT opens July 2026 and will be even closer. Parking is available 2 minutes away at Spooner Road Carpark.

  • The nearest MRT is Outram Park . From Outram Park Station Exit 4, take Bus 2, 12, 124, 143, 147, 190, or 961M two stops, alighting at “Bef Kampong Bahru Ter”. Cantonment MRT opens July 2026. Drivers can park at Spooner Road Carpark, a 2-minute walk away.

  • Studio Analogue is located on the second floor of a heritage shophouse and is accessed by two flights of stairs. There is no lift, and the studio is not wheelchair accessible. If you have specific access needs, message Cheryl before booking and she will help you decide if the room can work for your session.

  • Yes. The homepage has a full photo tour and a short video walkthrough, and @studioanaloguesg on Instagram shows behind-the-scenes content from recent sessions. If you’d like an in-person visit before committing, send Cheryl a note by email or WhatsApp and she’ll arrange a quick studio tour.

FAQs about The Studio & What’s Included

  • Every session includes three Sony FX30 cameras, up to four Shure SM7B microphones, a RØDECaster Pro II audio mixer, Amaran lighting, seating for one to four people, Cheryl Lau as your studio operator, and your raw audio and video files delivered by Google Drive on the next working day.

  • Studio Analogue is founded and run by Cheryl Lau, podcast producer and an award-winning podcaster. Cheryl personally operates every session in the room. She has been podcasting since 2020 and produces her own work, which means you’re working with a practitioner rather than a hired technician.

  • Cheryl is your in-session studio operator. She prepares the studio and sets up all gear before you arrive, runs technical checks at the top of the session, monitors cameras, lighting, and audio while you record, and offers on-the-spot guidance if you need it. Her job is to make sure your session runs smoothly.

FAQs about Recording — Format & People

  • Studio Analogue is built for video podcast recording. Three Sony FX30 cameras run on every session, with Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 and 10-18mm f/2.8 lenses. Raw video files are delivered alongside the audio. Live mixing, switching between camera angles in real time, will be available from September 2026.

  • The studio seats one to four people. You can record solo, with a co-host, or with up to three guests. Four Shure SM7Bs are available, one per person. The hourly rate is the same whether you’re recording alone or with a full table. There is no surcharge for additional guests.

  • Yes, solo recording is supported and welcomed. Many creators record alone for the first few episodes before bringing guests on. Cheryl runs the session whether you’re one person or four, at the same hourly rate. Solo creators often find the room makes it easier to find their voice on camera.

  • Studio Analogue is set up for video podcasts, long-form interviews, Reels and Shorts, YouTube videos, and other social content. You can record solo or with up to three guests or co-hosts, four people at the table in total. Audio-only sessions are also supported using the same equipment and the same room.

  • Studio Analogue is set up for seated recording. The cameras, microphones, lighting, and table are positioned for a seated setup, and standing recordings cannot be accommodated. Shoes are not worn inside the room, but feet do not appear on camera. Slippers are provided.

FAQs about Equipment & Customisation

  • No. All recording equipment is provided, including cameras, microphones, audio mixer, and lighting. You’re welcome to bring your branded items or props you want in shot. This usually looks like items placed on the shelves or on the table. Please email Cheryl before your session so we can assess whether your items can fit within the camera framings. For anything larger or a more involved setup, get in touch before your session. Repeating clients can store their set items in our storage room.

  • Yes. You’re welcome to bring small props or branded items, and we can place them on the set for you. This usually looks like items placed on the shelves or on the table. Please email Cheryl before your session so we can assess whether your items can fit within the camera framings If you need a more complex setup with larger items or heavier customisation, contact us first so we can arrange extra setup time. Repeating clients can store their set items in our storage room.

  • Studio Analogue cannot build fully custom sets inside the existing studio. We can rearrange the décor in the background, restyle the tabletop, and place props or branded items you bring with you.  This usually looks like items placed on the shelves or on the table. Please email Cheryl at hello@studioanalogue.com before your session so we can assess whether your items can fit within the camera framings. Repeating clients can store their set items in our storage room.

  • Yes. Wireless microphones are available on request. Add a note to your booking and we’ll prepare the right setup for your session. The default recording chain uses four Shure SM7Bs on boom arms, which deliver broadcast-grade audio for most podcast formats.

  • Teleprompters will be available from September 2026. If you need teleprompter support before then, mention it at booking and Cheryl will let you know what’s possible. For most podcast formats, a teleprompter isn’t necessary, since a printed outline or notes on a tablet in front of you works well.

FAQs about Remote, Live & Streaming

  • From September 2026, Studio Analogue will support remote guests through Riverside, so you can record with someone joining from anywhere in the world while keeping broadcast-quality audio and video on both ends. Until then, all sessions are recorded in-room with up to four people at the table.

  • Live streaming for webinars and virtual events will be available from September 2026. If you’re planning a live event and want to stream from Studio Analogue, get in touch in advance so we can scope the setup and confirm timing alongside your booking.

  • From September 2026, Studio Analogue will offer live mixing, where the studio operator switches camera angles and syncs audio and video in real time while you record. This delivers a light edit on the day of recording and is ideal when you need a faster turnaround between session and publish.

FAQs about Producer Services & Post-production

  • Cheryl runs every session as the studio operator, handling cameras, audio, lighting, framing, and in-session adjustments. That is included. For more information on  producer tier, where Cheryl actively shapes the episode with you on concept, pre-production, hosting prep, and editorial input on the cut, please visit cheryllau.com. Episode editing and short-form clips launch September 2026 with our vetted post-production partner.

  • As your studio operator (included in every session), Cheryl runs the technical side: gear, cameras, audio, lighting, framing, and in-session adjustments. As your producer (add-on, mention at booking), she’s involved before, during, and after the recording: shaping the concept, prepping your hosting, sitting in with editorial input, and reviewing the cut. Many clients start with a producer for their first 5 episodes so they do it well from the beginning.

  • Yes. Pre-production guidance and editorial direction from Cheryl is available please visit cheryllau.com . Episode editing, vertical reels, opening trailers, and short-form clip packages launch September 2026 with a confirmed post-production partner. For ongoing podcast strategy or production work outside the studio, Cheryl runs that separately through cheryllau.com.

  • From September 2026, editing packages will cover long-form episode editing, an opening trailer for your episode, a vertical version of the opening trailer (a trailer reel), and an add-on for episode reels.

  • Yes. Studio Analogue can handle full post-production for ongoing podcast series and larger projects from September 2026. 

FAQs about After Your Session

  • You’ll receive a Google Drive link with all your raw audio and video files on the next working day after your session. The link stays active for 7 days, so download everything as soon as you can. If you need files re-uploaded after the link expires, message Cheryl and she’ll arrange it.

  • For recording-only sessions, you’ll receive your download link on the next working day. For post-production clients, turnaround depends on the scope of the edit, and Cheryl will confirm the timeline with you when your package is booked. Raw audio and video files are delivered through Google Drive.

  • Default is 1080p, please request ahead of time if you need 4k instead. Once we start recording, we cannot change from 1080 to 4k.

FAQs about The Studio

  • Two things.

    First, it is the only Singapore podcast studio run by a practising podcaster who is visibly present and personally runs every session.

    Second, it is a heritage shophouse near Outram Park, a neighborhood  with character, built for creators committed to a long-running body of work.

  • Three Sony FX30 cameras run on every session, one wide and two close-ups. The homepage shows real on-camera framing examples for solo, two-person, three-person, and four-person setups, so you can see the production value before you book. Lenses are Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 and Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8.

  • Yes. There is an embedded YouTube clip on the homepage of a real recording session in the room, with multiple speakers and no music bed, so you can hear the audio quality before you book. the mics are Shure SM7Bs, routed through a RØDECaster Pro II.

  • Yes. The homepage features a selection of recent shows recorded in the room, with links to each episode on YouTube or Spotify. The lineup grows as Studio Analogue moves from soft launch into public bookings in July 2026.
