About Studio Analogue —
A Boutique Podcast Studio in Singapore, Built by a Practitioner
Studio Analogue is a boutique podcast studio in a heritage shophouse at 79 Kampong Bahru Road, Singapore, founded by podcast producer & host Cheryl Lau. Built for independent podcasters, founders, and solopreneurs, the studio is a single-set, practitioner-led space designed for honest, considered conversations — the kind of work made slowly, seriously, and on purpose.
WHY BUILD ANOTHER PODCAST STUDIO IN SINGAPORE?
There are already podcast studios in Singapore. Good ones, even.
So why build another?
Because Cheryl Lau couldn't find the one she actually wanted to record in.
But not just the set design or how easy it is to get to the studio.
Something harder to name — the sense that a space was built for you, by someone who has sat exactly where you're sitting.
Nervous before a guest arrives.
Second-guessing the intro.
And genuinely cares whether what you're making reaches the person who needs to hear it.
That space didn't exist. So she built it.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Cheryl Lau, Podcast Producer in Singapore Since 2020
Cheryl has been producing podcasts professionally since 2020, after starting in 2018 as an independent host. Before Studio Analogue, she produced podcasts for clients including The Financial Coconut, Beansprout (the Singapore investment platform), the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), and Singtel — as well as independent shows such as The Real Reason with Shulin Lee and Pawspectives Petcast with Yen Teng Chow.
She knows the format from the inside — not as an operator, but as a practitioner. She knows what it feels like to sit across from a guest and want the room to put them at ease. She knows the difference between a session that flows and one that doesn't, and it has very little to do with the room.
A HERITAGE SHOPHOUSE PODCAST STUDIO
Located at 79 Kampong Bahru Road
In late March 2026, a friend shared about a shophouse unit available for rent. Cheryl saw it and thought: what if now?
Studio Analogue opened in a heritage shophouse at 79 Kampong Bahru Road — a space that doesn't look like a studio and isn't trying to. Warm, considered, a little unexpected. The kind of room you want to have honest and sincere conversations in.
WHY "ANALOGUE"?
The Philosophy Behind the Name
The name is deliberate.
Analogue is a conscious contrast to the speed and scale of AI-generated content - to everything that is fast, frictionless, and interchangeable.
It connotes Craft. Care. The belief that making something slowly and seriously is still worth doing. That a body of work built with consistency and conviction will reach the people it's meant to reach, even if it never goes viral.
Studio Analogue is for creators who already believe this. Independent podcasters, founders, solopreneurs - people who have something specific to say and want to say it properly, for the one person somewhere who needs to hear exactly this, from exactly you.
THE FIVE VALUES BEHIND STUDIO ANALOGUE:
The studio runs on five values: Classic. Sparkle. Craft. Care. Audacity.
01 CLASSIC
Because the work should last. Conversations that stand the test of time.
02 SPARKLE
Because the best podcasts are quintessentially you — your voice, your thinking, your way of seeing.
03 CRAFT
Because quality comes from putting in the reps, episode after episode.
04 CARE
Because Cheryl is present through every session, genuinely invested in what you're building.
05 AUDACITY
The word at the heart of all of it — because sharing your story and perspective publicly still takes courage, and this studio exists to make that courage feel a little more possible.
